I agree with Scott. Either we produce the information by CIP, or at a minimum,
the survey should indicate what CIP(s) they want counted. As I have said
before, I discovered that some publishers are not even aware of the CIP.

I believe we also need a clarifying question on this subject. Is the
information desired the number/percent of "underwater baket weaving" students
at Temple University (CIP xx.xxxx) or do they want to know that Temple calls
its major "contemporary underwater basket weaving"? This is again centers
around the possible use of the information. Do the people who will use the
publication just want to know if a college offers a nursing program or do
they want to know that we call our nursing program "patient care worker"?
I suspect it is the former.
