Mike:

We count students who are beginning a second bachelor’s degree at our campus in the “All other degree-seeking” category in section B1; they would not be included in our sections C (Admissions for New Freshmen).  I would not consider these students transfers as they are beginning a new course of study toward a new degree; while their previous degree counts for completion of our institution’s General Education requirements, they do not transfer the credits for those courses from their first institution and they would not show on our transcript.

If they began their *second degree* course of study at another institution and transferred to our institution to complete their second degree, we would count them as a transfer student.

Subject: [cds] transfer students

Hi all.  Please excuse the cross-post.  Would you classify a student working on a second bachelor's degree as a transfer student?  Why or why not?  Thanks.
