Hello! Can somebody help me out and explain the difference between H4 and H4a to me. I am hoping that this will help me understand why the numbers in H5 and H5a on one specific school's 2011-2012 make no sense to me.

Thanks!

Beth Fuson, M.Ed

> The issue seems to be "degrees conferred" as opposed to "programs completed". For ETSU, if a student receives a degree with two majors, I only count that once for "degrees conferred". In other words, a B.A. with a double major in Sociology and Psychology is counted as one degree conferred. However, a B.A. in Sociology and a B.S. in Technology by the same person amounts to two degrees conferred for the same person.

Are double majors counted here? In section J: Degrees Conferred where we calculate percentages by discipline we are instructed that "students with one degree but a double major will be represented twice". Does the same apply to B3 Persistence?
